January 21st 2017 marked the day of the Womens March 2017. This was a coming together of women from around the WORLD all standing up for the equality and fundamental rights of women (along with other groups of people currently facing injustices, or at least the fear of it). Marches took place in cities all over the United States ( Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Cincinnati, Boston and Los Angeles to name a few) as well as around the globe (including London, Paris, Athens and Sydney). I watched in awe as hundreds of thousands of women came together in a show of solidarity and support for the general cause of female empowerment. It really made me feel proud to see the sea of pink amongst the crowds and with a little girl on the way I felt more inspired than ever. Of course the best place that I found incredible and stunning images was on Instagram. I absolutely loved the photographs from the day popping up throughout my feed, as well as the beautifully hand drawn imagery from female illustrators. I rounded up my top 10 of my favorite pictures (although there were so many I loved) and wanted to share them. These are a mix posters , drawings and photos from the marches. I am all about girl power and today more then ever I feel proud to be female and from a family of strong women.

(I also want to say that this is NOT a political post. I just wanted to share these lovely images of women coming together to support each other).
